Story

Maga

An elliptical sphere in opal blown glass. That is the whole collection.

The glass does the diffusing rather than a shade or a baffle, so the light comes out soft and glare-free, and the silhouette is the only thing announcing the fitting in a room.

It comes as a pendant, a wall and ceiling version, and a table lamp — the same sphere at three mountings, and the pendant works alone or in a composition.

About Nemo Lighting

Founded in Milan in 1993, Nemo reissues lamps by Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand alongside work by living designers.

Franco Cassina founded Nemo in Milan in 1993. Part of the collection is archive work — lamps by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Franco Albini, Vico Magistretti and Kazuhide Takahama, kept in production rather than left to history.

The rest comes from designers working now, among them Mario Bellini, Álvaro Siza, Jean Nouvel and Arihiro Miyake. The company is Italian and is owned by Federico Palazzari.
