A porcelain vase in the shape of a plastic bag caught in mid-air. The glaze is thick and sweet-coloured, and the folds are held exactly where a bag would have them — the handles still standing, the sides still falling.

About Serax
A Belgian house that publishes other people's ideas — each designer, artist or chef is given a run of their own.
Brothers Serge and Axel Van Den Bossche founded Serax in 1986. Axel leads it now, with a team in Antwerp who decide who gets a collection.
The names run from Ann Demeulemeester and Marni to the chefs Sergio Herman and Ottolenghi, next to designers nobody has heard of yet. The pieces are made by craftspeople in clay, glass, stone, wood and metal, so the catalogue has no single look — what holds it together is the people in it.
