Story

AML Stool

A petite object for everyday use, in solid oiled pine.

It is a stool, but most of the time it is not being sat on — it works as a side table or a bedside surface, which is what the proportions were drawn for.

Oiled rather than lacquered, so the wood keeps ageing.

Left, doing what it usually does — holding things rather than people. Right, the oiled pine up close, still ageing.

About Frama

A Copenhagen studio spanning furniture, lighting and self care, Frama works in natural materials with a plain, honest aesthetic.

Frama works from Copenhagen across furniture, lighting, kitchen and bathroom units, self care and fragrance. The studio describes what it makes as sensory human connection through the lens of objects and spatial works.

Natural materials are the starting point — oak, steel, stone, brass — left honest rather than disguised. The Shelf Library, Rivet and Farmhouse series run through the collection, built to be added to over time.
