Angelo Mangiarotti

Angelo Mangiarotti was a Milanese architect, engineer and designer whose work returns again and again to joints: how two parts meet and hold without adhesive or fastening.

That thinking runs from his concrete structures down to marble tables that stay together by gravity alone.

Lesbo, for Artemide, is a table lamp in blown Murano glass — a curved stem opening into a wide shade, blown as one continuous piece so there is no join to hide.
